Whole Log Reclaimed

A new take on old wood.

For over 35 years, Whole Log Reclaimed has been giving new life to old wood.

Their unique reclamation process allows them to take centuries-old lumber and refine it into useable building material. The reclaimed wood adds a natural, rugged character to special spaces without the need for chopping down more trees. Call it a rare win for both building and nature!

After years of living with a visual identity and website that made them feel like “just another lumber company,” Whole Log hired Status Forward to create a unique brand identity to match the craft and character of their high-touch product.

The new Whole Log Reclaimed website was an opportunity to reorganize years of content and information into a new, search-friendly and branded presentation.

Status Forward worked with Whole Log Reclaimed through an extensive planning process in order to determine what information on the old site had to stay, get updated and/or merged into better-optimized pages, or go in the wood chipper. Additionally, Status Forward worked with Whole Log Reclaimed to fill in content gaps and add new product categories.

Given the amount of content and the generous use of images throughout the site, Status Forward recommended building the new site on Craft CMS.

The new site loads fast and is easy to manage. It has helped Whole Log make better first impressions, instilling in visitors the sense that antique wood is a lot more valuable than some recycled lumber.
