Status Forward designs and codes custom websites that stoke intrigue and drive conversions. We do this by way of attractive web design and clean, valid code creating harmony with well-developed content. Every site we build is mobile responsive and search-engine friendly for maximum visibility and flexibility.
Custom Website Design and Development
Does your website reflect your brand? Is it easy to navigate? Can you effectively manage your content? Are you seeing conversions? Is your site designed around your content, or did you try to fit your content to a canned template?
Custom web design does not mean taking an existing template and switching a few things around. We build websites that are visually unique to each client with modern, clean, streamlined code to make them function optimally for both visitors and administrators. Aided by on-target content and calls to action, we build conversion-centered websites that create leads while reflecting your brand’s reputation for excellence. Have a look at our portfolio and you’ll see exactly what we mean.
WordPress and the Genesis Framework
We’ve done web design and development in a variety of ways and with many different tools over the years. This has given us plenty of opportunity to find the best possible solution for our clients. We use WordPress because it provides by far the most user friendly administrative interface for managing web content. It is also very SEO friendly right out of the box.
We customize the WordPress CMS to make it even more user friendly for clients who have custom content requirements, such as events, restaurant menus, recipes, detailed contact forms, and online sales. We take WordPress a step further by building our clients’ sites on a solid framework called Genesis. This allows us to provide a tremendous SEO benefit right from the start. It also allows us to future proof your website to a great degree making it more sustainable long term. A properly customized WordPress Genesis site will far outlast any other combination we’ve ever found. Additionally, it will provide the most seamless experience for both site visitors and site managers alike.
Responsive Web Design
In 2014, mobile web browsing overtook desktop browsing for the first time in history and there’s no sign of this trend reversing. Earlier this year, Google rolled out new criteria in their search algorithm giving preference to websites that are mobile friendly. If your site isn’t responsive, prepare to kiss your search engine rankings and frustrated mobile device users goodbye.
We build responsive websites designed to configure to the size of the device being used, converting your website’s graphics, text and media without compromising web design quality or losing important website content.
If you have a business that sells or wants to sell products or services online, we can help. We’ve seen many e-commerce systems come and go, and are happy to say we’ve found one that has been well developed and that we believe is here to stay. The best news is that it can be fully integrated into a WordPress site.
We use the popular and ever expanding WooCommerce for WordPress plugin, and customize it for your website design and overall brand. We integrate your online shopping cart with whatever shipping method you choose, and with a payment gateway for securely processing online payments. And of course, we ensure that your online store is very well optimized for search engines, and is very user friendly for shoppers.
We’ll explain our process fully in a proposal after initial discussions on your website needs, but to give you a typical synopsis, most website design and development projects follow these steps:
When we first talk to you via phone, by email, or in person, we’ll do in initial consultation, during which we’ll ask a series of questions about what you want to accomplish with a new or redesigned site. We’ll review your existing site if you have one, and may follow up with a few more questions if necessary. Then we’ll create a detailed proposal, in which we’ll lay out a thorough plan complete with options, timelines, and cost estimates.
Upon embarking on a website project, we’ll first do a research and planning phase, creating a site map, proposed structure, and content plan. Once this is all set, we’ll embark on the design phase, creating mock ups of a home page, interior pages, and other pages as appropriate. These will ultimately serve as guides for our developers in the next stage, which is to turn the approved web design into functional code that makes up your website.
Once your site is coded and ready for review, we’ll input initial content and teach you to use your new content management system. Finally, we’ll launch your new website and do some quality assurance and final integrations such as Google Analytics setup, social media share buttons, and sitemap submission to search engines.
After site launch, you have the option to work with us long term as a partner to maintain and support your website, and we hope you’ll choose to do so. We value our long-term partnerships with our clients and enjoy being part of building successful businesses and brands.
