Sustainable Seafood in the Heart of Downtown Asheville
When The Lobster Trap’s founder, Amy Beard, decided to pass the baton of ownership over to Chef Mike McCarty in 2019, she decided that would also be a good moment to reevaluate the restaurant’s brand and web presence.
As Asheville’s premier seafood restaurant since 2005, the Lobster Trap needed help with highlighting its commitment to sustainability in its messaging while refreshing its logo and website.
In addition to a new clambake form and an events calendar, the team connected the menu page with the restaurant’s SinglePlatform account to pull in the most up-to-date seafood offerings without going off-brand. Status Forward worked with Lynne Harty Photography to document the liveliness of the restaurant with photography and video for the website.
Finally, we also incorporated the Open Table Reservation system into the site and helped implement curbside pickup during the Covid-19 pandemic.
